LiTaO3,LT it is a multifunctional material integrating electro-optic, acoustooptic, piezoelectric, nonlinear, photorefractive and laser activity. Lithium tantalate not only has good piezoelectric, electro-optic and thermoelectric properties, but also shows stable chemical and mechanical properties. Compared with similar crystal structure LiNbO3,LN,it is easier to obtain large-size crystals and has a higher damage threshold.

Due to its excellent piezoelectric, ferroelectric, acoustooptic and electro-optic effects, LiTaO3 has become a basic functional material in the fields of surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices, optical communication, laser and optoelectronics. Lithium tantalate crystal is widely used not only in electronic communication devices such as resonators, filters and transducers, but also in the manufacture of high-frequency surface acoustic wave devices, pyroelectric infrared detectors, laser Q-switched switches and other devices.

Crystro's R & D team has successfully grown LiTaO3 recently after many experiments and explorations, combined with its rich experience in crystal material growth and R & D. Based on the growing demand for large-size lithium tantalate in the current market, Kress will continue to optimize the process and continue to develop larger size FE:LiTaO3.
